My LinkGauge only lights up when the button is pushed and held down. Is that the way it is supposed to work?

The red indicator lights on the LinkGauge are dimmed for night time use. Pushing the button momentarily brightens them for daytime use. In a bright environment (during the daytime) these lights will not be visible.

Note: The green power indication light only illuminates when the button is pressed.
